How long does a knock-down rebuild demolition take?

Most residential knock-down jobs take one to two weeks from approvals through to a cleared site, depending on the size of the structure and whether asbestos is present. We’ll give you a firm timeline once we’ve assessed the property and confirmed permits with the certifying authority.

Do I need council approval before demolition starts?

Yes, and we handle this for you. Before any work begins, we manage the permit process with the relevant certifying authority and coordinate with your service providers to disconnect gas, water, and electricity safely.

What happens if the existing house contains asbestos?

We test for asbestos as part of our assessment and handle removal in line with WorkSafe and EPA requirements if it’s found. This gets sorted before general demolition starts, so it doesn’t hold up your rebuild timeline.

Will you remove my pool, shed, or trees as well as the house?

Yes. Our knock-down for rebuild service covers the whole block, not just the main structure — that includes pools, retaining walls, sheds, stumps, and any vegetation that would get in the way of the new build.

What condition is the site left in once demolition is finished?

We clear all debris and sort materials for recycling or disposal, then leave the block level and ready for your builder to start. Many of our clients are project builders who need a clean handover with no follow-up work.

Both. We regularly work alongside project builders as well as homeowners managing their own rebuild, and we can liaise directly with your builder on timing if that makes things easier.
